HP Launches Android Netbook

android-netbookNetbook with Android, operating system from Google become more and more popular. One of the new vendor of this product is HP.

Under Compaq brand, HP Airlife 100 netbook is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon ARM processor which found in many smart phones, including the Nexus One from Google.

Apparently, the difference between these two devices – smart phones and netbooks – was only on the screen and keyboard size are almost full-size on HP devices.

HP Airlife 100 has screen 10.1 “with a 16GB SSD which is supported by an SD card slot. Features Wi-Fi, 3G and GPS are embedded in this netbook. Wireless access via 3G causes HP have to partnered with Telefonica operators.

On the netbook arena, Android was not welcomed as glorious as smart phone. He was considered too light for netbook Operating System. However the good news is, it has impressive battery power. HP says it can stay active up 12 hours with standby time that reaches up to 10 days.

The HP Airlife 100 price has not been announced yet.


Apple will displace Google on iPhone

iphoneApple Inc. intends to change the search engine for the iPhone. Currently, Apple is in serious talks with Microsoft Corp. to replace Google with Microsoft Bing. According to Bloomberg’s anonymous sources who know this problem, this discussion will reflect the competition between Apple and Google. Google plans to launch own mobile phone this month by offering a mobile operating system named Android.

“So far, the deal probably will threaten Google, but it would be better for Apple,” said James McQuivey, a researcher Forrester Research Inc., Cambridge. Apple could benefit more from working with Google than Microsoft. Because, according to sources, Microsoft might be willing to many more revenue with Apple. From search engines, Google and Microsoft both have income from ads placed alongside search results.

If the deal is successful, Microsoft had a chance to enlarge its search engine market share. According to Nielsen Co. research, of all mobile phone users who use this search engine, is 86 percent of Google users. The new Bing users reached 11 percent.

Only, so far there has been no information from the company. Frank Shaw as well spokeswoman, Katie Cotton as well as a spokesman for Apple declined to comment on. Similarly, a Google spokesman, he declined to comment about this issue.
